About the Model

Ecosystem Service Valuation for NSW Oyster Aquaculture

The ESG Asset Attribution Model (EAAM) adapts the NOAA-TDC Dual-Flow Framework for Australian oyster aquaculture. It quantifies the environmental value generated within Priority Oyster Aquaculture Areas (POAA) across five service vectors: nitrogen removal, phosphorus removal, carbon sequestration, and habitat provision (commercial and recreational).

Using data from the NSW DPI Fisheries Spatial Data Portal, FarmDecisionTECH environmental sensors, the Reef Credit Scheme, and peer-reviewed research, the model provides per-area ESV estimates with transparent data quality adjustments via the DAF/REDQS framework.

What We Measure

Each vector is independently calculated, DAF-adjusted, and assigned a confidence level. Together they form the Total ESV for each lease area.
